Live Online Workshop

Does funding your nonprofit

keep you up at night?

Move from panic to power! By the end of this workshop, you’ll know how to reduce your organization’s financial risk, build a stronger, more flexible revenue mix, and feel more confident about your nonprofit’s financial future.

FROM SCRAMBLING TO SUSTAINABLE:

YOUR NONPROFIT’S REVENUE RESET

AUGUST 18 – 22, 2025

MISSION STABILITY DEPENDS ON
FINANCIAL STABILITY

Too many nonprofits are one funding decision away from a crisis — overly reliant on one stream, one strategy, and no time to figure out how to do it differently.

The right revenue mix will sustain your mission through changing times.

It’s time to stop worrying and start purposely leading your nonprofit into the future with stable funding.

Dominoes

“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.”
(Albert Einstein)

Right now nonprofits are under attack, but…

You have tools and expert resources at your disposal to lead through this difficult time with confidence, knowing your nonprofit is prepared to adapt and stand the test of time. To do that, you’ll need:

Sustainable funds to fuel the mission!

This light-lift workshop will provide you with the tools, resources, and support to build and maintain a highly diverse and resilient fundraising mix.

Why is it so challenging to BUILD A SUSTAINABLE FUNDING PLAN?

Your nonprofit is busy serving the community. You have funding but… is it diverse enough to withstand a funding crisis?

Too many nonprofits have:

A single lit match approaching a row of unlit matches, symbolizing the chain reaction risk of overdependence on government funding.

 dependence on one funding stream

a single major, loyal donor

an insufficient funding pipeline

trouble maintaining sustainable funding

Knowing the right process and having expert support takes the guesswork out of sustainable funding.

Learn how to truly leverage AI, activate existing resources that you already have, develop powerful partnerships, and finally, map a plan to generate income instead of always just asking for money.

Stop WORRYING about future funding.

Start KNOWING your revenue sources are sustainable.

Activate the power of small donor dollars, build sustainable partnerships and sponsorships, and find out the truth about your organization’s earned income potential!

This workshop brings the best-in-class resources, tools, and thought leadership to you in one cohesive, digestible package.

You need to build a long-term funding plan and pipeline.

You appreciate the funding (and donors!) that you have. Yet, in this changing landscape, you know that you have to think about your overall funding mix because you can’t depend on just one (or a few) revenue streams.

Let’s build a revenue mix that feels stable and empowering — not risky and exhausting.

One of the things that can’t really be adequately conveyed in a workshop description is how it feels like you are being wrapped up in a community of support. Even though we’re all virtual, I left every day feeling like I had 100+ people who were cheering me on. Also, the NLL team is stellar!
Jen Boschee-Danzer

Executive Director, NAMI Yolo County CA

I love NLL workshops. Not only do I learn a lot, I have more fun at them than game night with friends. They are always interesting, creative, and dynamic. I look forward to each month’s topic.

Lissa Clayborn

Program Coordinator, United Way of Bradford County

It’s fun to be in the same virtual room with so many other nonprofit heros! There is such an encouraging and collaborative feel to the workshop — much better live than recorded!

This workshop is tailor-made for you if…

  Your organization is overly reliant on any one funding stream.
  You lose sleep thinking about that one big donor, pulling their donation and the havoc it would wreak on your budget.
  You dream about getting that magical grant that would allow you to breathe and think about programming again.
  You just don’t know how you’re going to raise the money (again) this year…

Here’s What You Get Inside
This Workshop

A colorful trail mix (nut mix) with a ribbon marked "August 18th," symbolizing the balance and diversity of Day 1 in the nonprofit revenue workshop.

UNDERSTAND YOUR REVENUE MIX

Diversification isn’t about doing all of the things — it’s about choosing the next right thing. Before you explore what’s possible, ground yourself in what’s real.

Monday, August 18 | 2 – 3pm ET

Day 1: Your Revenue Reality Check

  Assess your current revenue mix to identify risk and opportunity.
  Review real case studies of other organization’s revenue mixes and plot your own.
Human hand shaking a robotic hand symbolizing the integration of AI in nonprofit fundraising.

UNCOVER THE POWER OF AI FOR FUNDRAISING

Reframe small-dollar donors as a stable, scalable base — not a side project.

Tuesday, August 19 | 2 – 3pm ET

Day 2: Relational Fundraising at Scale

  See what’s possible even with a tiny team or list.
  Learn how to leverage AI to bring more humanity to your work.
  Discover how AI can reshape your fundraising and allow organizations to bring in smaller, more consistent donors so no funder gets left behind.

A human hand holds a magnifying glass over one silhouette figure filled with currency, chosen from a line of several grey silhouettes. The date "AUGUST 20" is shown above the highlighted figure.

IDENTIFY YOUR ASSETS + POTENTIAL PARTNERSTHIPS

Identify potential partnerships beyond events and logos — creatively rooted in mutual value.

Wednesday, August 20 | 2 – 3pm ET

Day 3: Sponsorships + Partnerships: Beyond the Logo

  Look at what assets you have and how they can align with outside funders in a way that is beneficial for both.
  Learn why sponsorships should be a core part of your fundraising mix.
  Understand how to position your organization as a valuable partner to companies.
  Discover untapped industries aligned with your mission.
  Leverage AI to support your sponsorship goals.

A hand holds a pair of round, light brown-framed glasses with yellow-tinted lenses. Through the lenses, a blurry green background of trees or foliage is visible. A white banner hangs vertically from the top, partially obscuring the view, with the words "AUGUST 21" in blue text.

OPEN YOUR HORIZONS

Expand your thinking about earned revenue — without needing a product or storefront.

Thursday, August 21 | 2 – 3pm ET

DAY 4: Income Streams You Can Own

  Conduct a revenue opportunity audit of your organization’s existing assets: your expertise, audience, physical resources, and relationships.
  Discover potential earned income opportunities within your existing resources and expertise.
  Map 2-3 realistic earned income possibilities specific to your organization and use a simple decision framework to prioritize your next steps.
A person stands at a fork in a road, looking towards a diverging path that leads around a large, rocky hill. Two white arrows are painted on the road, pointing left and right. The sky is dark and cloudy, but the hill is brightly lit. A white banner with "AUGUST 22" in orange text hangs from the top, positioned over the hill.

CHOOSE YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Explore one revenue stream and leave with a next-step mini roadmap.

Friday, August 22 | 2 – 3pm ET

Day 5: Your Revenue Remix Plan

  Move from reflection to action. Build on what you uncovered in the Revenue Snapshot.
  Use that info here to decide where you’ll go next — and how to get there.
  Leave with a next-step mini roadmap.
